Where’s my nearest playground in Evesham?
Have you checked out all of Evesham’s playgrounds yet? If not, why not add a visit to each to your list of things to do for the summer? There are some fantastic playgrounds here and the best part of all is that our playgrounds are completely free for use.
So go on, get out and explore Evesham’s playgrounds this summer with all the family.
Abbey Park
Evesham’s main park, this playground features a wide range of play equipment including a slide, swings, inground trampoline, sand discovery area and climbing frames. This park is also home to a splash pad.
Crown Meadow
Located just along the river, next to the Cheltenham Road bridge and opposite the leisure centre, the crown meadow playground is perfect for children aged 8 and under. It features lots of bright and colourful play items and features specially adapted equipment for those with special needs.
Common Meadow Park
A lovely playground located off Common Road on the banks of the river, This park is a fairly recent addition to Evesham and features a playframe with slide, swings and a climbing frame. It's suitable for children of all ages and also has other areas to climb on and walkthrough so there's lots to do.
The Orchards
Located on the Orchards estate, this is one of Evesham’s newer playgrounds and consists of several different play choices for children to enjoy.
Sunset Way
This small playground is located just north of the Orchards estate and offers a good selection of natural-style play equipment for children
Jubilee Gardens Park (Bengeworth)
Jubilee Gardens Park is located next to the social club in bengeworth and features a good range of brightly painted climbing frames of various types for children to enjoy, there’s also a trampoline and swings.
Poppy Play Area
Another new playground, the Poppy play area is a huge hit for kids locally due to its large blue climbing frame. There’s also plenty for the little ones and even a small football pitch, if the kids want somewhere to kick a ball about.
Shannon Way Park (under 5s)
This small playground is definitely one for younger children aged 5 and under. The park features a small playframe with a slide and 2 infant swings.
Jupiter Park
Located near the Broadway road roundabout, this playground features a basket swing, a slide integrated into a grass mound and climbing frames. This ones for the older children but young ones can enjoy too.
Charity brook park
This is a lovely park for the community. It features a fenced-off play area for under 5’s with a large playframe (with slide), swings and other activities that children can enjoy. Next to the play area there’s also a pump track, rocks for climbing and a bike track so there’s something here that most ages can enjoy.
Woodlands Play Park (under 5s)
Located by B&Q and Evesham’s Adventure Playground association, this small park is definitely one for the under 5’s. Play equipment here consists of a playframe with slide, 2 swings and rockers for the children.
