Did you hear about our networking event?
Speed Networking, Delicious Food & Tasty Gin Samples!
It has been a long two years since a lot of businesses have been able to socialise or network in-person to help grow and promote their business! And for Evesham businesses and members of the noticeboard website, it was decided it really was time to arrange a networking event.
On the 16th of June over 30 businesses attended (one of the hottest days of the year) The Boathouse Venue. Where they sampled food and drinks, made new connections and even got some fun social time in too. The speed networking was tricky (as it was our first time) but with 3 minutes each the Evesham entrepreneurs got to pitch their business and just bounce of each other.
See our link below of some of the business owners who braved our photo shoot.
Why is local networking good for your business?
It really is true, KNOW LIKE TRUST!
They're great events to build up great relationships with other local businesses, regardless of whether or not they're potential clients or suppliers. Once people get to know you, they'll start putting business your way, from either direct work or by referrals.
By broadening your network locally it helps keep you informed, interconnected contacts will mean broader access to new and valuable information.
Networking is a great opportunity to exchange best practice knowledge, learn about the business techniques of your peers and stay abreast of the latest industry developments. This is really useful to lots of business owners who may work from home, not mix with many other businesses on a daily basis.
Another excellent reason is it is good for business owners' mental health! Meeting like-minded people, learning about what is an offer, and sharing your ideas, news, or just discussion. It is good for self-employed businesses to connect with each other.
TOP NETWORKING EVENT TIPS:
1. First of all, have fun and think positively! It's a chance to meet and network with other Evesham Businesses.
2. Don't forget your business cards!
3. So dress to impress & just in case the press! Workwear is also great if you have badged clothing.
4. Stay relaxed.
5. Know the message/value that you want to convey to the people you meet
