→ Transport Links

One of the most attractive things about Evesham is its location and transport links. Evesham is located in the Midlands equidistant from Stratford-upon-Avon, Worcester, and Cheltenham with an approximate 25-30 minute drive to each. It’s positioned where the A44 road from Oxford to Worcester, meets the A46 from Bath to Coventry. It’s also just a 20-minute drive to the M5 giving you access to the Southwest and the North of England. Evesham is also served by a railway station with regular direct services to London (a little over 2 hours), and if you change at Worcestershire Parkway, to Birmingham or Bristol.

❤ Shopping

Evesham residents do have multiple options when it comes to shopping. The high street is changing with the big chains moving out of the town centre leaving more room for small independent shops and cafes giving Evesham a distinctiveness compared to other local towns. In fact, Evesham has some real hidden gems in the town centre from antiques, clothing, beauty, and health salons and a lovely little market open on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

If eating out is your thing, you can check out Evesham’s lovely collection of pubs restaurants and cafes all of which will make you feel very much at home. If it’s a village pub meal that you’re craving, the villages near Evesham offer options to suit your every taste and budget. Some of our favorites are the Round of Gras near Badsey and the Fleece Inn (also a national trust property) in Bretforton.

If you’d prefer to cook for yourself and need a supermarket, Evesham has six - Waitrose, Tesco, Morrisons, Iceland (in the town), Lidl & Aldi.

Next to Tesco and Morrisons are the two main retail parks, one to the south with stores like the range, Home Bargains and TK Maxx. And a further retail park to the north with Next, Boots and Argos.

A relatively recent addition The Valley, located on the bypass just outside the town, also offers additional shops and attractions. These include a narrow gauge railway, playground, mini fun golf and soft play - all of which make a great day out and are well worth a visit.

⮞ A Riverside - Country Town

One of the things our residents love the most about Evesham is its proximity to the countryside and riverside location - It’s great if you have a four-legged friend who loves exploring the great outdoors. In fact, Evesham has a large dog lover community and many of the businesses here are dog-friendly. It’s not just dogs that we love, Evesham is home to the UK largest Farm Animal Sanctuary where, for a small donation, visitors can meet the animals rescued by the farm. If it’s Llama’s you love, you can also visit them in the Littletons.

If you do enjoy visiting the countryside, Evesham offers beautiful riverside walks (check out the Hampton Ferry, an ancient ferry crossing that is the only line-pull ferry in England), and is a great hub for exploring the blossom trail or the Cotswolds. You could even join one of the rambling, running or cycling groups to help you explore.

♡ Community support

It’s not just local businesses that the people of Evesham support. Evesham is a caring community, with plenty of help at hand when neighbours need it. In past times, we have seen the community pull together for fundraising in support of Ukraine (Evesham has a large Eastern European community) and those affected by the floods (yes we are a Riverside town). Charitable organisations and individuals also run their own food banks and community groups for those affected by dementia, mental health issues and those impacted by the cost of living.
